According to an Associated Press (AP) investigative news story, pharmaceuticals have been found in drinking water of a least 41 million Americans. The result of a five-month inquiry into the supplies of 24 major metropolitan areas, the investigation found the presence of many over-the-counter prescription drugs and medicines in tap water that have not been tested for combined or long-term exposure to humans.
