May 11, 2009 - PRLog -- To help businesses energise their staff, Interactive Events Pty Ltd have revealed their unique video resource library ‘FUNergizers’. Designed to provide organisations with the tools, confidence and knowledge to run their own team building activities, ‘FUNergizers’ is Interactive Event’s solution to helping businesses through these financially challenging times.
“Due to cut backs there are some people who are doing the job of three of people. This may work in the early stages due to pure adrelinan, but a time will come when these people are totally ineffective in their roles. It is important that businesses provide staff with some down time to not only avoid burnout, but to help them be more efficient.”
Having been running fun and interactive team building programs himself for over 10 years, Mike feels now is the time to encourage businesses to focus on staff satisfaction. “There have been some great studys about the benefits of satisfied staff. In 2003 Gap Busters showed that an increase in staff satisfaction resulted in a tripling of customer satisfaction. What business right now wouldn’t benefit from that?”
Mike suggests allowing just 15 minutes a week for staff to participate in fun, team based activities can have a profound impact on staff energy levels, enthusiasm and commitment to their job. “FUNergizers contains a range of 5-10 minute fun team games that business trainers, managers and team leaders can run themselves to help boost staff energy and enthusiasm.” Mike says that the difference with FUNergizers is that the games are presented in video format. “We recognise that not everyone is a team builder or has the time to read and interpret pages of written instructions, so we have presented some of our best games as instructional videos. Managers simply watch a quick video, see how the game works and then run the game themselves.”
We believe that traditonal team building methods are stating to lose their impact. “If you are training for a marathon, you don’t train for just one day and think your done. So why would it be the same with building a team?” Mike says that FUNergizers have been designed to be easy to run with a strong focus on encouraing laughter and interaction.
“I have never understood why businesses keep having team meetings on a Friday afternoon. Wouldn’t it be more effective to have them first thing Monday morning and kick it off with a fun and exciting 10 minute activity. Can you imagine the impact this would have on staff morale and energy levels?”
