Disc Motion Technologies announced today that the implantation of the Inlign™ MLH system, the World’s first intergrated posteriorly implanted Multi-Level Hybrid Arthroplasty and Fusion system was successfully implanted in a 67 year old patient in Stockton-on-
"We are extremely pleased to announce that we have been able to respond so quickly to surgeon’s requests for this type of implant. The Inlign MLH addresses a familiar problem for back patients and their surgeons. Often a patient will have a lumbar disc level for which fusion is the best option while at the adjacent level an artificial disc is the preferred choice. The Inlign™ MLH is the only CE marked integrated solution for this common problem” said Andy Greenberg, President and CEO of Disc Motion Technologies, Inc.
Dr. Tai Friesem completed the first procedure using the Inlign™ MLH on May 5th. The 67-year-old patient had a previous lumbar spine procedure that used an interspinous device, which had not relieved the symptoms from spinal stenosis and degenerative disc disease from L3-L5. After the implantaion of the InLign MLH the patient had a short hospital stay and is doing extremely well.
