Visitors to Crest Nicholson’s Harbourside development came across an unusual bit of furniture in the form of a sand sculpted sofa!

The sand sofa formed part of the Floating Harbour 200 celebrations where visitors to the historic dockside location were invited to sit on the piece of art and enjoy the views.

Taking three hours to make, the sofa included a sand woman who was posed sitting relaxed looking out towards Brunel’s ss Great Britain.

Vicky Dudbridge from selling agent King Sturge said: “The Floating Harbour has played perhaps one of the most important roles in the history of Bristol and it was a great way for us to help celebrate this historic milestone. The sand sofa was amazing and lots of people came and had a look.”

In addition visitors to the development were able to have a look around a new show apartment and see for themselves why the development has proved so popular to those looking for a waterside location.

Vicky added: “The new show apartment has fabulous views and really demonstrates the lifestyle opportunities on offer.

“We are in an enviable location and people realise that this is one of the very last chances to live right on the water in the heart of the city, with all Bristol’s amenities right on your doorstep. Purchasers cannot find what we have to offer anywhere else in Bristol and are continuing to buy here despite the economic downturn.

“Fortunately the furniture in the new show apartment isn’t made of sand!”

For further information on apartments for sale please call 0117 908 8888 or visit http://www.harbourside.co.uk . Alternatively please visit the marketing suite on Cathedral Walk which is open daily from 10am to 5pm.
