Seek Solutions, Choose LANXESS – LANXESS Exhibiting at Chinaplas 2009
Shanghai/Guangzhou - Specialty chemicals group LANXESS AG will exhibit at Chinaplas, from May 18th to 21st, at the China Import & Export Fair Pazhou Complex, Guangzhou, China. Themed ‘Seek Solutions, Choose LANXESS”, the focus of the exhibition will be on the extensive product portfolio, such as iron oxide pigments from the Inorganic Pigment (IPG) business unit and engineering plastics additives from Rhein Chemie (RCH) business unit for the wide-ranging applications. It exemplifies LANXESS as an innovative solutions provider and provides a platform for strengthening customer relationships.
One of the world’s leading manufacturers of iron oxide pigments, the Inorganic Pigments business unit (IPG) of LANXESS, is presenting its comprehensive range of inorganic pigments. Products to be presented include the established high-performance Bayferrox and Colortherm pigment ranges. The Colortherm range has been developed to provide optimal performance in a variety of demanding plastics applications. Ease of dispersion, high thermal stability and excellent weather stability as well as lightfastness are standard characteristics of all Colortherm types. The range includes Yellows, Reds, Blacks, Brown, Chromium Oxide Greens and a number of speciality grades with superior performance characteristics such as Colortherm Yellow 10, 20, 30, and 3950 as well as the Brown 645T and Black 303T.
Dr. Wolfgang Oehlert, General Manager of LANXESS Shanghai Pigments, says, “With nearly a century of expertise in the production and application of iron oxide pigments, the Bayferrox and Colortherm product line has enjoyed consistent success in the construction, paint, plastics and paper industries. I am glad to see that growing numbers of customers in China have come to recognize the advantages of Bayferrox and Colortherm pigments, helping them achieve enduring and attractive designs with brilliantly colored plastics.”
Rhein Chemie business unit will highlight its Stabaxol® product range - high performance protection against hydrolysis for polymers. Using Stabaxol® brings about an up to threefold increase in the stabilized polymer's lifespan. This extended lifespan means that it is possible to use reasonably priced polymers in applications which would otherwise require the use of very high-quality and substantially costlier plastics such as PPS or PEN. Plastics stabilized with Stabaxol® have a very good cost/benefit ratio.
Paul Ip, Head of Plastic Additives and Lubricant Oil Additives for Asia Pacific Region from Rhein Chemie, says, “The Rhein Chemie business unit offers wide-ranging customized additives and service products for various sectors of the plastics, polyurethane and lubricant industries. Rhein Chemie Stabaxol® has been enjoying a leading position on the worldwide market for hydrolysis stabilization of polymers for more than 30 years. While maintaining high-specification properties, using Stabaxol can increase service life threefold and the significant cost/benefit ratio means increased profitability.”
“The chemical industry has been a major driving force for today’s social and economic development,”
