Grand Rapids, MI -- After taking pictures of children for two years, Mindy Peterson decided to further expand "This Photo Story," her growing photography business, by adding wedding photography to the lineup. After just two seasons, wedding photography became the main aspect of her business leading to yet another expansion. Mindy and her husband, Ben Peterson, partnered full time on the venture and changed the name of the business to STUDIO 6.23.
"We've been having so much fun shooting weddings, and given that wedding photography is now the biggest part of our business, we wanted our branding to reflect that," said Ben. "6.23 is our anniversary, so in a subtle, and not in-your-face way, our new name hints on being husband and wife team in the wedding industry, and we're loving it!"
Ben brings eight years of marketing and communications to the new partnership, and he also built and developed another successful small business in Florida. Aside from shooting with Mindy at weddings and engagement sessions, Ben will be responsible for administrating the business including product development, systems and workflow and marketing.
STUDIO 6.23 has already launched their new website and launched a full line of new products to support their photography. "But that's just business stuff. We're really in an experience industry, so we're having the most fun right now in figuring out how to best surprise our customers with service. Our aim is to the Grand Rapids wedding photographers with flair."
STUDIO 6.23 is based in Grand Rapids, Michigan but also serves clients in Wisconsin, Illinois, Indiana, Ohio, Florida,Texas and Connecticut.
