Desert Center, CA—Farming Biodiesel, Inc. welcomes three new international co-op members and the addition of Carlos H. Bueno to the upcoming 2009 Jatropha Conference & Expo speaker lineup.
Farming Biodiesel Inc., host of the 2009 Jatropha Conference & Expo, announces Carlos H. Bueno will join the list of guest speakers for the biodiesel conference. Bueno, a leading biomass expert, will discuss his new process for removing Jatropha oil from the seed curd, post-production. This ground-breaking discovery addresses a problem common to Jatropha farmers and provides, on average, 10 percent more oil from the curd.
“Working together with other farmers and companies to share information that will lead to a solution for a common problem is priceless,” says Michael Reardon, Director of Farming Biodiesel, Inc. Reardon met Bueno during a recent trip to Colombia where they discussed some of Bueno’s recent advances in Jatropha production. “I had the honor of sitting down with Bueno for several hours to ‘pick his brain’,” says Reardon. “But, since we didn’t have enough time, I sent him an invitation to speak at the conference and he graciously accepted.“
From May 15-17, 2009 conference host Farming Biodiesel, Inc. will offer tours, seminars and live demonstrations throughout the 320-acre Jatropha farm. Attendees of the 2009 Jatropha Conference & Expo will participate in seminars and roundtable discussions, view the live production of biodiesel and learn about new products and technologies from more than 50 renewable energy vendors. “The farming system I created is only one part of a very large puzzle we call the answer to energy independence and to stopping the use of fossil fuels that are killing both our planet and ourselves,” says Reardon.
Support and cooperation for Farming Biodiesel, Inc. continues to come from Costa Rica based Green Farms Energy, Inc., Guatemalan farm owner Guillermo Sanchez and Arturo Araujo, proprietor of an El Salvador based seed-company. Green Farms Energy, Inc., Sanchez and Araujo are the newest members of the international cooperative Farming Biodiesel, Inc. and will be representing their countries and exhibiting their farms at the conference. “As I’ve stated since the start,” says Reardon. “ This cooperative aims to bring together actual farmers with real experience and factual data on Jatropha farming for the greater good of the co-op.”
