The vacation rental website PortugalVillaRenters.com is officialy the most visited website in the Portuguese market according to traffic analytics firm Compete.com.
The company reported an increase of 2,400% for Q1 2009. Competitors, ChoosePortugal.com are down by 72.4% for the year according to Compete.
The annoncement comes amidst an active marketing and advertising campaign which was launched in November 2008 by the company's media partners. Company CEO Peter De Beer has declined bids for a sale and cites the rapid increase in traffic and conversions as an encouraging factor to take the site to the next level.
PortugalVillaRenters.com currently has an average of just over 1,000 verifiable visitors per day and 422 registered advertisers. The company charges €59 per listing for 14 months.
