Art lovers will have an opportunity to donate a non perishable food item to help feed Bucks County needy families, during the “Art of Giving” event.
Katharine Krieg (b.1970) is an American Realist artist. Inspired by her surroundings she feels her paintings are her answers to what she observes. A quiet sense of Introspection and the passing of Time are themes that recur in her works of still life and landscape, hence “INSIDEOUT”
Her subject matter is gathered from the fields and farms nearby but she also enjoys exploring the rugged coast of New England and the artist colony of Monhegan Island, ME as well. She is honored to have been accepted into national as well as regional open juried shows. Her work can be found in collections along the east coast from Virginia to Maine.
The exhibit runs May 3rd through May 30th, 2009. The opening reception is on Saturday, May 9th from 5 - 9 PM and coincides with Second Saturdays in New Hope when galleries and shops remain open till 9 PM or later. As part of an effort to feed the needy in Bucks County, gallery owner Howard Cooperman, and artist Katy Krieg, decided to hold a food drive to assist needy families during these tough economic times.
