WorkSmart Acquires Carolina Technology Solutions

PR Log (Press Release) – May 07, 2009 – Research Triangle Park, N.C. – WorkSmart, the premier provider of Information Technology services and solutions in North Carolina, announced today they have acquired the Charlotte-based firm Carolina Technology Solutions (CTS).  The acquisition was completed April 16th; terms of the deal were not disclosed. Carolina Technology Solutions will now be known as WorkSmart.

The acquisition of Carolina Technology Solutions is part of WorkSmart’s vision to provide expanded IT infrastructure support and service to the metro Charlotte area and better serve clients in the region. A staff of seven will be based in the Charlotte office and Greg Miller will serve as General Manager for those operations.

It provides an alternative to unreliable tape backup, providing fast recovery of files and email.  WorkSmart also recently inked a strategic partnership with the North Carolina Technology Association (NCTA), the leading statewide membership organization representing the technology industry.
