Rockville, MD, March 23, 2009 – CTIS Inc., a health informatics company, today announced that it has become a licensed cancer Biomedical Informatics Grid (caBIG®)
Support Service Provider by the National Cancer Institute (NCI) in the categories of Help Desk Support for the Clinical Trials Compatibility Framework, Deployment Support for caBIG®
Software Applications, and Training Material and Services.
The NCI’s caBIG®
is an open source, open access information network that connects the cancer research community and enables the sharing of data through a common, standards‐
based electronic infrastructure. caBIG®
facilitates collaborative research and allows investigators to answer research questions more rapidly and efficiently, thereby promising to accelerate progress in all aspects of cancer research–
from etiologic research to prevention, early detection and treatment.
CTIS Inc., was evaluated by four key criteria:
technical capability, scalability, geographic coverage, and domain expertise, and based on this evaluation was accepted as a Support Service Provider in the categories of Help Desk Support for the Clinical Trials Compatibility Framework, Deployment Support for caBIG®
Software Applications, and Training Material and Services.
