Documentary Filmmaker Gives Weekly Gift To Support Nonprofit Community

PR Log (Press Release) – May 06, 2009 – When nonprofit development professionals open their e-mail on Monday mornings, they find the latest installment of “Movie Mondays,” a free online video series where fundraising professionals share insights and experience with their nonprofit colleagues.  Movie Mondays topics range from, “How to Find More Donors” to “How to Strengthen Donor Relations with Questions”.  Movie Mondays was developed in 2008 by documentary award-winning producer/director Christopher Davenport founder of 501 Videos LLC.   Christopher started filming a documentary on Fundraising Professionals in January of 2008.  “The goal of the documentary was to support and unite the nonprofit community,” explains Christopher.  As he was filming, Christopher was hearing so many successful fundraising stories, he decided to share some of what he was witnessing through the camera with nonprofit development professionals.  “I wanted to offer insights that folks could use that same day”, Christopher states.    Movie Mondays started out for development directors but now has a growing list of executive directors and board members who are also benefiting from the shared knowledge.  What started out as a 5-week gift to the nonprofit community has turned into a weekly online series with over 65 hours of footage and 61 interviewees.
