‘Giff’, has a vast knowledge of ‘New Media’, including the wider applications of Social Media marketing and will bring significant experience to Base One’s rapidly growing digital team.
As founder of award-winning agency Foresight New Media, Gifford gained his grounding in web development, managing the construction of sites for film distribution and technology companies, before moving on in 1998 to concentrate on using the internet as a marketing tool, working on a UK joint venture between two Grey agencies, KPE and Joshua. Moving to Paris in 2004, he helped found the European office of LSF Interactive, dedicated to delivering targeted traffic on a performance basis using the different online channels. Gifford set up and managed European search strategy for businesses in both b2c and b2b arenas, and helped grow a €10 million business in just 4 years.
Gifford revealed, “I’m thrilled to be at the forefront of inbound search marketing for Base One at the start of such a critical growth phase. Search and social media are now key business tools in B2B and, with my experienced team, I intend to build, develop and expand the tools and services offered to our clients, enabling them to enhance their businesses in ways which have never previously been possible.”
