Russia enjoys growing interest from researchers all over the world. In September 2009, Bazis IG together with SOCIS MR from Yaroslavl will host a 2-day research conference in St. Petersburg, Russia. Representatives of BIG research association will meet for semi-annual conference in Russia.
This is the first time for Russia to host such a conference. Previously, BIG met at Istanbul, Turkey, Berlin, Germany, Stockholm, Sweden.
The essence of the meetings is to share the most current developments in research trends for each of the participating countries. A contest – BIG AWARD event – attracts presentations covering new methodologies or break-through projects from each participating research agency. The history of this award dates back to 2004, when it was initiated by Carsten Heinmann, founder of AnalyseGruppen (Sweden). Each year, 2 companies who provided the most significant methodological input or fresh research idea is recognized by this award. Research agencies from Denmark, UK, Italy, Germany, Ireland received this prestigious BIG Award consecutively from 2004 to 2009.
The BIG Award of March 2009 went to Maria Bordoni of Italian Metron. Maria presented her project about an Italian language school. Maria succeeded in making the owners re-think their project brief. As a result the concept for the school was changed completely.
Bazis IG is looking forward to the conference event in St Petersburg, actively preparing the challenging entry for the BIG Award.
