A new approach in homeopathy is proving to be much more potent than the conventional approaches used previously. This holds a promise for treating influenza and other epidemics, as well as providing deeper, more rapid healing for individuals suffering from various diseases.
Homeopathy has proven to be a potent and effective system for healing individuals. Individualizing each remedy to the person being treated has been the essence of its methodology.
Homeopathy’s greatest asset, though, may be in individualizing treatments for larger totalities, such as the collective symptoms of epidemic diseases – rather than treating each person with that disease individually. Dr. Harry van der Zee, a physician in the Netherlands, reviews impressive historic examples of such broader applications of homeopathy in the 19th and 20th centuries. Epidemics of influenza, diphtheria, scarlet fever, cholera, malaria and yellow fever were treated with great successes.
The use of homeopathy has been actively discouraged and fought since the early 20th century, particularly in the US, by the medical profession. Medical doctors lobbied the government and obtained legislation granting them the exclusive right to diagnose and treat diseases. Previously, homeopathy and conventional medicine were about equal in their use in the populations of the US and countries around the world. Once they obtained control over medical treatments, the doctors outlawed the practice of homeopathy in the US. England and other countries, which did not proscribe its use, have enjoyed the benefits of homeopathy continuously. England even has homeopathic hospitals and treatments are paid under the National Health Service.
Homeopathy also works on theories and principles that differ from those accepted by conventional medical doctors. Homeopathy discovered in the 19th century what Einstein only hypothesized many decades later: matter and energy are two sides of the same coin. Einstein's theory, E = mc2, has been thoroughly explored and accepted by quantum physics – even though this is totally counter-intuitive within conventional, Newtonian physics. People with even a smattering of scientific understanding do not find it strange to acknowledge that the chair they sit on is more space than matter – when considered from the perspective of quantum physics. Newtonian medical practitioners and scientists have been slow to absorb that the body of a living organism is no different from a chair. The body can be addressed as energy or as matter.
While homeopathy is of benefit to individual patients, it has not fit the medical model for research, which requires standardized treatment protocols for the disease being treated. Having set research standards that are not properly applicable to individualized homeopathy, conventional medicine then criticizes and rejects homeopathy as not producing the evidence that conventional medicine claims is required as a basis for treatment.
This article summarizes years of explorations of the possibilities for treating epidemics in today's world. Harry van der Zee, MD has worked in Africa with two other homeopaths: Peter Chappell, FHom of England and Klaus Schustereder, MD of Austria. Dr. Chappell developed new homeopathic remedies that are proving incredibly potent for endemic and epidemic diseases such as AIDS, malaria and TB.
This article summarizes considerable collective experiences as well as the personal experiences of Dr. van der Zee in treating these diseases. The overall summary includes seven years of experience involving thousands of patients, dozens of homeopaths and other practitioners in some 20-30 third world countries in Africa, Asia and South America. AIDS and malaria were treated over this entire period. The experience with the other remedies is more recent, as with PTSD of war trauma covering four years' experience.
Dr. van der Zee's article turns out to be particularly timely in view of the outbreak of flu in Mexico. While this has been called 'swine' flu in the popular press, it is actually composed of DNA segments from various influenza viruses, including avian flu, human flu Type A, human flu Type B, Asian swine flu, and European swine flu.
Dr. van der Zee summarizes experiences of using homeopathy for flu:
"Perhaps the most recent use of homeopathy in a major epidemic was during the Influenza Pandemic of 1918…" "This epidemic was caused by an avian virus…" "About 40 million people died in just 18 months. The Journal of the American Institute for Homeopathy, May, 1921, had a long article about the use of homeopathy in the flu epidemic…" "Dean W.A. Pearson of Philadelphia collected 26,795 cases of influenza treated by homeopathic physicians with a mortality of 1.05%, while the average old school mortality was 30%." "[Explanation:
As with outbreaks of swine flu in 1976, medical authorities and the government appear again to be gearing up to stampede the public into mass vaccinations under the inflammatory warning that this is going to turn into a pandemic that affects millions of people and has a high lethal potential. The fact is, in 1976 the Ford administration's mass vaccination campaign produced many cases of paralysis and 25 deaths. And the swine flu pandemic never occurred.
It can take months to develop and many more months to mass-produce a conventional flu vaccine. The vaccine has to be developed specifically for the genetic composition of the new virus. Previous flu vaccines are at best only partly effective for a new variety of flu virus and often not effective at all.
Peter Chappell (web reference) has developed a resonance for the new virus that can be effective through homeopathic pills or through sound vibrations. These are available immediately and from his experience with other such remedies would be expected to have prophylactic as well as therapeutic benefits for dealing with this variety of flu.
Suggestions are also made for extending homeopathic interventions to address endemic chronic diseases and collective psychological trauma as well as epidemic diseases. Peter Chappell has developed new remedies that have apparently reversed insulin dependent diabetes and rapidly relieved people of severe post traumatic stress disorders (PTSDs). These remedies are produced through a new generation of homeopathic remedies, using a resonance process. Funding is being sought to extend the clinical uses of these remedies and for research.
