Accelerando Music Offers In Home Summer Music Programs For Kids & Families In The D.C. Metro Area

Katie Ribik, a Certified Music Educator and a 2003 UVA graduate with a BA in Music, is opening a new music business in the Northern Virginia area called Accelerando Music.  Accelerando will offer piano and guitar lessons, early childhood music courses for playgroups, children's birthday party entertainment, live acoustic gigs, and a variety of exciting summer music programs.

To kick off Accelerando Music's Grand Opening, Ms. Ribik has created nine summer music programs for children and families.  Each unique program runs for one or two weeks, one hour each day (Mon-Fri), at the location of the participants' homes.

A student can sign up for a program as an individual participant, or with friends.  The more partcipants there are that sign up, the more the cost per person goes down.  Accelerando Music is also offering 10% off summer tuition for all who register by May 30, 2009.

Accelerando Music will be offering the following 2009 Summer Music Programs:

1) Tickle the Ivories - piano instruction
2) Guitar Heroes - guitar instruction
3) Rockin' Recorders - recorder instruction
4) Kid's Folk Dance - participants learn folk dances from around the world
5) Family Folk Dance - families learn folk dances from around the world
6) Kid's Musical Theater - participants put on a mini-musical
7) Rhythmic Rockers - participants perform pieces using a variety of instruments
8) Singing Superstars - participants learn and perform vocal pieces
9) Build a Band - participants perform their instruments together to form a band

Aside from Accelerando's Summer Programs, they are currently accepting beginner to intermediate/advanced students for piano and guitar lessons.
