LACKAWANNA SQUADRON OFFERS BOATING COURSE
MORRIS COUNTY, NJ - Lackawanna Sail & Power Squadron will teach America’s Boating Course, a safe boating course approved by the State of New Jersey. The class meets on four consecutive nights, starting on Monday, May 18, 2009 at the Montville Township Public Library. Classes run from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm.
Students receive the certificate required to operate a power vessel or personal watercraft (PWC) in New Jersey.
The course is designed for all boaters, power and sail. As boating is often a family activity, all members in a family are encouraged to attend as a group.
Subjects include: boat handling under normal conditions; adverse conditions and emergencies;
The course meets the standards of the National Association of State Boating Law Administrators, and features a proctored examination as required by the State of New Jersey and many insurance companies.
