Guests can catch a rare glimpse of fine artist Santo Pezzutti’s life’s work. A celebration to honor Santo’s achievements will be held on May 17, 2009 at “Sheep’s Run”, the Designer Show House in Rumson, NJ, with proceeds to benefit the Visiting Nurse Association of Central Jersey.
The public will have the opportunity to tour the designer show house before the Pezzutti exhibit and reception. In addition to the featured art work, Sylvia Laudien-Meo, from the Museum of Modern Art will be the featured speaker.
From contemporary striking fluid images to painterly oil works, Santo’s collection provides a rich and complex viewing experience. The long time Monmouth County resident is a perennial prize winner in prestigious juried art shows. He describes his work as “a stream of consciousness, never striving for photographic realism, but instead, flowing with the dictates of design, color, and texture, and always respecting the nature and character of the medium”.
The art show and designer show house is being held in Rumson, New Jersey, a town surrounded by two rivers on the Atlantic shore where captains of industry commissioned their country estates from the nation’s finest architects. Situated on more than six acres, the Harrie T. Lindeberg designed “Sheep’s Run” evokes the romantic charm of a Cotswold cottage, featuring extensive, ornamental metalwork, 27 rooms and 10 tiled baths.
