Baltimore, MD (May 4, 2009) – “If something sounds like it’s Too Good to be True, it probably is.”

We’ve all heard that advice before, but Rosanna Tufts had an especially good reason to ignore it against her better judgment.

She discovered that the nice, easygoing man she thought she’d married, was that man only 10% of the time. The rest of the time, he perceived himself to be a perpetual victim, working for peanuts for a Fat Cat Boss who cared nothing for The Little Guy. It wasn’t long before he turned his chronic Blamer-itis on her, accusing her of making life even more difficult for him, no matter how hard she tried not to.

When she inherited a Cool Million after her mother died, she thought her troubles were over. They were just beginning. To her husband, it looked like she had all the money while he had none – and she didn’t know how to ameliorate his resentment and jealousy.

And so, when he saw a late-night commercial for a “business opportunity” he could get into, she didn’t try to stop him. If he had any shot at all at becoming even richer than her, she wanted him to have that chance, so he would never again have any reason to get mad at her.

When he retired a few months later, he attempted to make his “opportunity” work. When it proved more difficult than he’d expected, another one got waved under his nose – and when that didn’t work out either, he was off chasing another. And he charged all of the “programs” to credit cards, each time believing he’d be able to turn the expense around within 3 to 6 months.

On and on this went, until he got so far into debt that she had to cover his credit card bills for him. Finally, she got so fed up at having to support his ineffectuality that she bailed out on him, taking whatever little was still left of her inheritance.

As she began the arduous process of rehabilitating her life as a single mother, she came to the conclusion that “People with Short Fuses will Always Be Broke.”

This became the foundation for her new book, Don’t Start a Business without ME!, a manual designed to save people from making the same kinds of mistakes her husband did.  “His fatal mistake,” she realizes now, “was that he didn’t think he could come up with a Million Dollar Idea on his own, and therefore believed he had no choice but to hitch his wagon to other people’s pre-fabricated turnkey systems.”

With so many people losing their jobs in this recession, and desperate for financial alternatives, Don’t Start a Business without ME! assesses the reader’s psychological readiness to Be Your Own Boss. It offers a series of tests and exercises to help you discover your real Core Competencies, so you can grow your unique marketability from the Inside Out. It also stresses how men and women need to call upon their unique gender strengths to Save Your Sex Life in times of financial crisis, as well as numerous tips to prevent anxiety from overwhelming you.

Tufts’ experience includes 12 years as a Human Resources professional, and a nearly lifelong career as a classical soprano. But she really mastered the Importance of Being Unique when composing and producing “the world’s first Bondage-and-Discipline Rock Opera,” The Passion of Persephone. “Once I started doing that, I was no longer a mere wanna-be singer!” she laughs. Now she’s a Voice-Over Artist and “Catalytic Converter,” with her popular seminar that uses the archetypes of the Scarecrow, Tin Man, and Lion to help people create their own “OZ-Some Success.”

The book is available as a downloadable e-book at www.DontStartABusinessWithoutMe.com for $19.97, “because when your finances are on the line, you can’t wait – you need help NOW.”
