May 4, 2009 - PRLog -- 'Shoot The DJ' is a concept film. Written, produced, directed and starring the 3 directors of a record label, they also either wrote, produced or engineered every piece of music used in the film. Made with a strict budget of £5000, the film looks like it cost hundreds of thousands...there's sets galore, helicopters, private jets, a huge cast and some of the best music ever written specifically for an indie film of this nature.

The film tells the story of 2 DJs who are struggling to stay afloat in the recession after their pot of cash from their previous chart hit has all but run out...  They decide to go on a club tour of the UK and sell 'counterfeit' cocaine to as many small time drug dealers as they can find. Assuming that they are no longer famous enough to worry about being found, they get more and more cheeky in their drug dealing escapades. Little do they know that their 'sleeping' partner has released a new track of theirs and it's taking off... suddenly the press is after them and their star is once again rising...but this time it's looking like it's the worst thing that could happen.

Tony Hadley arrives in the form of Eddie Richards, a hardened club owner who also deals drugs and takes pride in never letting anyone get the upper hand over him. The lads make the mistake of offloading their final stash to Eddie with some potentially disastrous results.

Soon, it becomes clear that they've made a big mistake. The press are looking for them, their girlfriends are looking for them and they've got a bunch of angry gangsters after them...

They've got one chance to get out of their predicament alive...and it involves being dead.

The production team are touting this film as the biggest blag in film-making history.
"We pulled every possible string to make this happen. We called in every favour and asked for more than we should have...but it worked. People have been great in making this happen. It's got to the point now where the story of how this happened is almost bigger than the film itself. It hasn't been easy, Sean has put in over 1000 hours in the editing suite...there was over 60 hours of footage and we've replaced all the dialogue...a very long and arduous process...but it looks and sounds fantastic...no one is going to believe this was all done for five grand...but it was."
