“We were thrilled with all the entries we received and the judges have some tough choices to make,” says Michelle Green, the website’s creator. “There are a lot of talented kids out there who can really cook and love it!”
The winner, Jr Master Chef, will be announced on May 11th along with one 2nd place winner, three runners up and one Fan Favorite! The prizes are worth over $500.00 and the Master Jr Chef will be featured on future Jr Chefs of America webisodes.
The contestants are being judged on food presentation, knowledge of recipe, knowledge of technique, personality, quality of video, overall Jr Chef presence.

Jr. Chefs of America realizes that the earlier a child can learn the importance of good nutrition and portion control, the more eager and knowledgeable they will be regarding eating healthy.
