Government takes proactive measures for workers’ health on Labour Day

At present, the health care needs of Gurgaon’s industrial workers are being catered to by ESI dispensaries at Udyog Vihar, Gurgaon City, Manesar, Dharuhera & Rojka Meo. For further treatment, the patients are currently referred to the ESI Hospital at Basai Dharapur, Delhi because there is no ESI hospital in Gurgaon. For more advanced procedures, the ESI hospital at Basai Dharapur refers the patients to various empanelled hospitals in Delhi. Now, Gurgaon patients needing advanced treatments, once referred by the ESI hospital at Basai Dharapur, have the option of getting their treatment done in Gurgaon itself at Artemis Health Institute.
The ESI hospital under construction at Sector 9, Gurgaon, likely to be operational in next 4-5 months, will further reduce the health woes of industrial workers in Gurgaon, as they will not have to travel to Delhi; but, this new ESI hospital will also refer complex cardiac, cancer and neurological cases to Artemis.
