It will be a case of Thank You For The Music when the original Abba Mania entertain Christmas revellers at the Ricoh Arena in Coventry.
Abba Mania will be taking to the stage for two nights only in the Jaguar Exhibition Hall on Friday, December 18 and Saturday, December 19.
The original production from London’s West End will be performing a selection of the Swedish supergroup’s timeless classics ranging from Waterloo and The Winner Takes It All to Dancing Queen and Mamma Mia!
There will also be a sparkling wine reception, a three-course meal, free fairground rides and a disco with dancing until 1.30am.
Mikala Turner, Special Events Manager at the Ricoh Arena, said the venue had teamed up with top production company Handshake Ltd to bring Abba Mania to the city.
“Abba Mania has proved to be enormously popular in the UK and across the world with their brilliant production since they first started touring in 1999,” she said.
“The success of the movie Mamma Mia! last year has re-ignited interest in ABBA although many fans would say they have never really gone away.
“Abba Mania will be taking the crowd on a trip down memory lane when flares and glitter balls were all the rage.
“This is a fantastic musical tribute to one of the world’s most loved bands and we are confident it will prove to be a hit with colleagues, friends and family enjoying their Christmas parties.
“We are conscious of the effects of the recession and have reduced the prices by as much as nearly £16 in some cases compared to last year’s festive parties and we believe it offers terrific value for money.
“There will be limited availability because Abba Mania is only performing for two nights so our advice is to book early.”
