(Miami, FL) April 3, 2009 – JamRock Entertainment Group’s Rock the City Tour is a high energy hip hop/pop & alternative tour which is coming through the State of Texas May 21st through May 24th doing a four city tour. Headlining bands are Turncoat from Austin, Texas and City of God from Miami, Florida with other special guest artist from the four city stops such as Fareview, Your Greatest Mistake and Odis with others to be announced.

Headliners: City of God exploded on the music scene in 2006 showcasing their fresh new style of music and incredible musical talents. City of God is a band that has transcended from their hip-hop roots to combine tranquil hip hop lyrics, upbeat dance music and smooth R&B melodies. Their influence from all music genres has combined to create their unique sound that has been capturing more and more audiences. A wide variety of musical influences ranging from Jamiroquai, N.E.R.D, Earth Wind & Fire and John Legend show through in the diverse music catalog of City Of God. City of God has performed in the Southeast and in Texas. City of God recently shared the stage with Universal Motown’s R&B sensation Ryan Leslie. City of God most recently also signed a (1) year endorsement deal with the rapid growing energy drink Power Trip Beverages. Their debut album Rebirth of Swag has been well received with sales through digital distribution such as ITunes and has been receiving airplay in college radio and internationally in Germany.
Turncoat with influences ranging from hard-rock bands such as Escape the Fate and Avenged Sevenfold to pop-punk bands like Blink 182 and Sum 41, the Austin based quartet, is rapidly carving its own spot in the Austin music scene. In March ’09 Turncoat performed at 3 SXSW music showcases throughout the conference and has also been featured on two compilation CD’s; The LBM Music Zine Spring compilation, released in the U.S., The U.K., and Japan, and the LBM Music Zine Summer Warped Tour Compilation released in the U.S. Turncoat has played all over the State of Texas and is gearing up to promote their new self-titled debut EP.
