Santa Fe, New Mexico – April 29, 2009 Jetstream Wind, Inc., a developer of breakthrough energy technology, introduces plans for a Ten Megawatt (MW) renewably generated 100% hydrogen power plant that mimics a natural gas plant’s ability to firm renewable power.  Just released are preparations to produce, safely store and distribute electricity using 100% pure hydrogen created by wind, solar, solar thermal and geothermal renewable energy.  This creates the capacity to fortify intermittent renewable energy and dispatch firm CO2 emissions-free power to the electric grid.

The establishment of “firm” power has been a major obstacle in the timely development and integration of renewable energy.  Energy produced by wind and solar technologies is intermittent by nature and cannot by itself create firm 24-hour power.

With the unveiling of the plans for Jetstream Wind, Inc.’s 10MW hydrogen plant, energy may now be generated by all types of renewable energy, converted to hydrogen, compressed and stored in composite materials to be transferred back to the electric grid as firm electrical power.

Feasibility studies have been completed by Engineering, Procurement, and Construction LLC (EPC) of Lakewood, Co. to assure the operational ability of the 10MW hydrogen plant.  All of the major components and sub-components necessary for this revolutionary hydrogen power plant have been tested and made available for implementation, signaling a green light for the many renewable energy plants awaiting their realization.
