On Saturday, May 16, the Montgomery Mall will host an 11th Annual National Police Week event from 10AM – 4PM in the mall’s Salsa Mexican Grill entrance parking lot. More than 14 police and safety departments in the North Penn area have been invited to participate in the mall’s police week event, which is FREE and open to the public. Community members will learn more about law enforcement and public safety. Vehicles and equipment from various sectors will be on display at the event and the following safety organizations will be at the mall offering information, displays and attractions for local residents:
- Central Montgomery County Emergency Response Team
- Montgomery Township Police K-9 – The team will be performing K-9 demos.
- Montgomery Township Police Highway Safety Unit
- Montgomery County Command (C-100)
- Montgomery Township Bike Patrol
- Penn Star Helicopter – The organization will bring a helicopter to the mall.
- Montgomery Township Fire Department
- V.M.S.C. Ambulance Corp – The organization will be vehicles to the mall.
- United States Army, Marines and National Guard
- Montgomery County Bomb Squad
- Domestic Violence Services
- And more…
According to Kirsten Boettcher, Montgomery Mall Marketing Manager, “The Montgomery Mall is always looking for ways to team up with and support our local law and safety organizations through informational events and safety programs. These organizations work tirelessly to protect the North Penn community and this event is our way of making sure the local safety workers in North Penn are recognized for their efforts.”
