Melbourne, FL – Alpizar Law is proud to announce the establishment of an endowment by the Brevard County Bar Foundation in the name of personal injury and auto accident attorney O. John Alpizar. A lifetime charter member of the Foundation, Mr. Alpizar is actively involved in both the legal industry and the local community.
The Foundation is a charitable and philanthropic organization created in 2003 by the attorneys of Brevard County. Funds from the Foundation are used for improving public understanding of the legal system, promoting access to legal services, contributing to educational, welfare and safety projects, raising awareness of the Bar and its services, and supporting local community organizations and programs.
The endowment will support any of the causes on behalf of the Foundation. The Board of Directors makes a donation to a charity or organization once a month, and the recipient is determined by nominations from the board or any Brevard County Bar Association member. Mr. Alpizar has been a part of the Central Florida legal community for more than 25 years. He has served as president of the Brevard County Bar Association and is a current Eagle member of the Florida Justice Association, as well as a member of American Association for Justice, The Florida Bar, and the Million Dollar Advocates Forum. He is currently serving a three-year term on the Fifth District Court of Appeals Judicial Nominating Commission, having been appointed to the position by Florida Gov. Charlie Christ.
