Madrid, Ibys Technologies, a Spanish independent provider of End-to-end “Quality of Service” (QoS) Testing, Performance and Monitoring Solutions, announces the launch of its new local SIM Multiplexer module within its xPlorer QoS solution. While currently the probe units, which simulate the subscriber’s handhelds, connect through a LAN/WAN network to a centralized SIM server in order to read out SIM card information, now they can additionally use local SIM Card Multiplexers without having to connect to a LAN/WAN network.
Ibys’ xPlorer QoS solution provides Probe Units that use SIM Card Servers which enables remote SIM card multiplexing handling therefore an unlimited amount of SIM cards. The subscriber information of a SIM card is read out by the system and transmitted via a LAN/WAN network to any test location required. Each card may be virtually transmitted to any location without even a single card having to be moved physically.
Ibys Technologies now goes one step ahead. In addition to the SIM card server, now it is possible to have local SIM Multiplexers in each of the Probe Unit. This new feature offers new advantages for both static and mobile/portable probes.

With this new feature, end-to-end service testing of basic calls, GPRS, EDGE, 3G, 3.5G, roaming, SMS, interactive voice, revenue assurance, MMS, Video Telephony, Voice quality, Streaming, Video Quality, WLAN, web Browsing, WAP, Handset Simulation, PTT, Blackberry, iPhone, etc. can be run with a large amount of different SIM card information dynamically assigned to different end-user handheld models without being connected to an IP network. One local SIM Multiplexer can hold up to 16 SIM cards which can be read by up to 8 handhelds or industrial test phones. For extra local SIM-Card capacity, another 16 SIM-card-Mux can be optionally added to the same Probe Unit.
