New Website Hosting 31 Days of Giveaways Beginning May 1

April 28, 2009 - PRLog -- Lisa Koivu, 27, was tired of looking at so-called "mommy-blogs," to find information on the topics that interested her: shopping, coupons, and saving money.  So she took matters into her own hands and started a website that dealt with the topics she wanted to read about, but geared toward the single 20-something market.

"I love and still read so many mommy blogs!  But there's no reason a website dedicated to saving money has to be geared toward families.  I'm in my 20's and I'm single, but I still love saving money!"

Thus the idea for Fantabulously Frugal was born.  (http://www.fantabulouslyfrugal.com)

"I love finding good deals on the internet and for years I would send the deals I found to whatever friends and family members I could find.  This website is the exact same thing I've been doing for so long - it's just read by more people," Koivu said.

This website is different from others in the market because it doesn't discriminate.

"I make an effort to include high-end clothing lines and bargain stores.  I write about plus-sized stores and more "traditional" stores.  You will find information about coffee sales, cosmetic sales, and pretty much anything else that's on sale, or, even better - Free!"

The only thing Koivu doesn't talk about are deals pertaining to kids items.

Said Koivu, "I think there are plenty of other experts out there who have a handle on this!"

Fantabulously Frugal launched on March 8, 2009, and continues to get more hits and visitors everyday.  In order to show her appreciation for the people that stop by and make use of the deals she finds, Koivu is hosting "31 Days of Giveaways" on the site beginning May 1 and ending on May 31.

"I'm really really excited about this promotion!  I will be giving away one item everyday during the month of May.  There are some great items made by some great designers!  Some of the brands that will be featured during the month include Kate Spade, Vera Bradley, and Marc Jacobs!"

Koivu said that the hours she devotes each day to finding deals, bargains, and freebies for her readers is completely worthwhile.

"Every time I'm able to save someone even so much as $1, I feel like I'm doing my job.  I love it!"

As Koivu likes to remind everyone she knows, "Never pay full price for ANY item on the internet!  Come find me and I will save you some money!"
