Old Homestead Steakhouse in NYC Announces All Inclusive Food and Wine Event

The Old Homestead Steakhouse in New York, together with Chelsea Wine Vault, are pleased to present a ‘Rare’ Wine Pairing Dinner featuring winemaker Mark Beringer of Artesa Winery.

New York City’s Oldest Steak House, The Old Homestead, will play host to renowned winemaker Mark Beringer of Artesa Winery in an incomparable pairing of unique & elegant wines from the Napa estate with a selection of the Old Homestead’s most famed dinner entrees.

Mark Beringer will lead guests through an $85 all inclusive, 5-course sumptuous journey of food & wine. The menu will include tastings of Kobe burgers, seared sesame crusted yellow fin tuna, and USDA prime dry aged rib cap steak.  All dishes will be skillfully paired with a wine hand selected by Mark from the Artesa winery.

Featured wines of the night will include Artesa Merlot Reserve 2004, Cabernet Sauvignon Reserve 2005, Pinot Noir Carneros 2006, and Chardonnay Carneros 2007.

Reservations are required to attend the event and tickets are $85 (includes tax and gratuity).  Reservations can be made by calling Carol Troche at 212-242-9040.  The event takes place May 18th 2009 at 6:45pm at the Old Homestead Steakhouse in NY.

A fifth generation winemaker from Napa Valley, Mark Beringer is an award-winning winemaker continuing a family tradition of making high quality wines in California's premier AVA's. As the great, great grandson of Beringer Winery co-founder, Jacob Beringer, Mark has always aspired to make his contribution to California winemaking. He grew up immersed in the wine industry and knew from a very young age that winemaking was his calling.
