Klatcher.com 2.0 launched in public beta-test mode today. The Silicon Valley based self-publishing platform enables users to publish any kind of content through a new, three step publishing system, and brings in instant and significant earnings for authors through a new monetization technology.
The site aims at boosting personal publishing effectiveness, measured in US$ earned per hour, to an average $10-$20 hourly wage for everyone with valuable content.
“Our three step approach makes online publishing significantly easier and more in line with the natural creative process of the human mind”, says Johannes Bhakdi, CEO of Klatcher.com.
The site’s credit-based micropayment system utilizes monetary policy models to improve the speed and volume of earnings for new authors, and lowers the user’s psychological hurdle to buy and spend additional credits. Every new user gets $1 worth of free credits when signing up. With this infusion, the system enables authors to build a paying user base within a few hours, and at the same time lets users getting faster accustomed to the purchasing process.
With heavy improvements in author profitability, Klatcher.com pursues an ambitious vision: “Klatcher wants to empower every creative mind on the planet to make a living from its creativity, instantly. And we are very close to delivering on that”, says Johannes Bhakdi.
Klatcher.com is free for everyone, and lets authors keep 80% of all revenues they generate.
The public beta-test lasts until May 7th 2009, when Klatcher.com V2.0 will be officially launched.
Klatcher.com is a division of Sophotec VC Inc. , a Silicon Valley based innovation company focusing on mind and knowledge technologies.
