As a member of the International Flute Orchestra, Dr. Susan Adragna has taken part in educational music exchanges in China, Chile, most of Western Europe, and Eastern Europe. With Florida Flute Orchestra, she was part of an April news broadcast on FOX news and will perform at the NFA Convention in August. Dr. Adragna is currently is an Assistant Professor at Argosy University, is the principal chair in the Datyona Civic Orchestra, and free lances in the community. Dr. Adragna performs on an 18k rose gold plated 851 series Pearl Flute.
Carmen Maret is a performer, composer, teacher and concert organizer based in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Ms. Maret is co-founder of Folias, a nationally touring flute and guitar duo that she performs and composes with alongside her husband guitarist Andrew Bergeron. In 2008, she released her third CD with Folias as a Blue Griffin Recording Artist. Ms. Maret performs on a Pristine Silver (.970) Maesta and Sterling Silver 207S Alto Flute.
Brooklyn native Lori Bell is a flutist and composer of admirable depth and broad musical sympathies. Over the past 15 years, Ms. Bell’s many performances have included venues such as the Wadsworth Theater, The Neurosciences Institute, and the Kennedy Center. She has released many albums, including her newest solo jazz album “The Music of Djavan” with Resonance Records in October of 2008, and tracks from two of these albums have won placement on the Grammy ballot. Currently, Ms. Bell is teaches jazz improvisation as instructor of jazz flute at San Diego State University. Ms. Bell performs on a Jewel Pristine Silver (.970) Maesta.
Flute instructor at UCLA since 1972 and director of the UCLA Flute Consort, Sheridon Stokes is a specialist in contemporary music and the author of Special Effects for Flute. At 20, Stokes became the youngest contract musician in Hollywood; playing piccolo with the renowned 20th Century Fox orchestra under Alfred Newman. He is the solo flutist on "Mission Impossible" "Out of Africa", "E.T.", "Apollo 13", and thousands of other movie and TV scores. Mr. Stokes has premiered many pieces including "Concerto" for flute and orchestra by John Williams, "Willow Willow" for electric bass flute and percussion by Paul Chiihara, and "On the Wings of the Wind" for solo flute and orchestra by Harry Bulow. He has been featured on recordings with Frank Sinatra, Jascha Heifitz, Judy Collins, Natalie Cole, and the Carpenters. Mr. Stokes performs on a handmade Pearl Flute.
