Bernardo's Holiday Brunch
GALVESTON ISLAND, Texas – Bernardo’s at Hotel Galvez, known for its long-standing Sunday champagne brunch, is pleased to announce that it’s expanding its popular Mother’s Day Brunch to include a children’s buffet and additional seating in the Music Hall. The children’s buffet will include chicken fingers, corndogs, macaroni and cheese, cookies and other treats.
Brunch will feature freshly prepared breads and pastries, assorted fruits and cheeses, and vegetable crudités for starters. Guests can enjoy seafood gumbo and spring onion soup or choose from roasted mushroom salad, marinated artichokes with pesto chicken and assorted chef salads at the salad station. Seafood entrees include smoked, cold poached and chilled poached salmon, canapés, Gulf shrimp, cocktail shrimp and crab claws served with spicy remoulade and cocktail sauce.
Featured will include apple smoked bacon and country sausage, eggs benedict, cheese blintz with wild berry sauce, baked red fish with chorizo and rock shrimp, herd rubbed chicken with dry sherry reduction, roasted red pepper potatoes, and a vegetable medley.
Guests can choose omelets made to order or design their own pasta dish with a selection of pastas, sauces and other options such as chicken, shrimp and vegetables. The carving station will feature prime rib, bourbon glazed ham and garlic spiked leg of lamb. The hotel also features an impressive assortment of desserts in a separate dessert room. Complimentary champagne and mimosas are included as well as red or white wine. Mothers will receive a specialty chocolate amuse.
Mother’s Day Brunch is $44 for adults, $35 for seniors and $22 for children ages 6 to 12. Children aged six and under are complimentary. Reservations are required and seating times are at 10:30 a.m., 11 a.m., 1:30 p.m., and 2 p.m.
