HUGHES MEATS COMPANY LIMITED
ANNOUNCES LAUNCH OF HOME DELIVERY SERVICE
Bangor firm Hughes Meats Company Limited this week announces the launch of a brand new home delivery service. Called Hughes Meats Direct 2 Door, this new service allows members of the public to place orders for meat and meat products and have it delivered to their home. The service will be available from 1st May 2009.
Orders can be placed via the internet, telephone, fax or SMS (text message). A price comparison undertaken by the company shows that its products are cheaper pound for pound than the major supermarket and the company would say that the quality of the meat it offers is far superior.
There is a small delivery charge of £3.50 for orders under £100 and free delivery for orders over £100. The service is available across North Wales and orders will be delivered in one of the company's fleet of refrigerated vehicles. (There are higher delivery charges for customers outside of North Wales).
Geraint Hughes, Managing Director of Hughes Meats Company Limited, said “We are very excited at the launch of this new service. As a company we have always sought to be innovative in our approach and use new technology to bring our quality products to as many people as possible. This is one of many new projects we have in the pipeline as our company continues to grow.”
Paul Williams, Quality Assurance Manager at Hughes Meats Company Limited and whose brainchild the service is, says “With the credit crunch and the dire economic situation, we as a company are aware that people are spending less on quality foods. With this service, we aim to bring wholesale meat prices directly to the public so that good, wholesome food is now within everyone's price range.”
