Gold Makes Legatum Very Happy

PR Log (Press Release) – Apr 27, 2009 – Legatum, a Dubai-based private investment firm, won both gold and silver awards at the recent Pan Arab Web Awards, for one of its websites, dubbed the “Personal Prosperiscope”.  The website http://myprosperity.com features an interactive survey of personal happiness which, based on an individual’s answers, will generate a customised report with suggestions for improving personal happiness.    
“The Personal Prosperiscope is a light-hearted approach to understanding personal happiness”, said Mark Stoleson, President of Legatum, “but it’s based on serious academic research and global data that covers more than one hundred countries over 30 years. With its customised reports, this is a study with news you can really use”.
The Personal Prosperiscope is built upon the same data platform that fuels the Legatum Global Prosperity Index (http://www.prosperity.com) , an annual 104-country study that examines and ranks 44 factors that contribute to a nation’s overall prosperity, combining measures of material wealth and life satisfaction.
The Pan Arab Web Awards recognise excellence in web design, development and web ownership skills, across 39 categories with entries from 10 countries across the region.  Legatum’s website, which won Gold in the Financial Services, and Silver in the Corporate categories, was judged against criteria that included concept and creativity, navigation, content, visual design and interactivity.
