PRLog (Press Release) - Apr 27, 2009 -
Pacnet has unveiled its new partner program offering improved support and enhanced incentives for its business partners to help them deliver leading-edge telecommunications solutions to small and medium businesses (SMBs) across Australia.

"Partners are key to helping us address the increasingly sophisticated needs of SMBs in Australia and around the region," said Deborah Homewood, Pacnet's Chief Executive Officer of Australia and New Zealand. "With our new partner program, we are targeting to grow our current partner base of over 350 partners to over 450 by the end of this year and are looking at partners to contribute a significant portion of Pacnet's revenue in Australia by the second half of 2009."

"One of the key features of the new partner program is the introduction of a Marketing Development Fund that is available to assist partners in lead generation and direct marketing activities," said Ms Homewood. "This is backed by a quarterly discretionary bonus scheme that will provide additional financial rewards to our top-selling partners, in addition to an ongoing commission stream."

"The benefits of our program are also designed to assist partners to generate new opportunities for their own business and in turn, lead to more Pacnet services being sold," she added. Other key features of the program include having a dedicated account manager, a priority hotline for technical support and quarterly briefing forums.

"Our new approach is guided by a desire to be transparent so partners feel integrated within our business and self sufficient. We want to know where partners hope to take their business and we will help them get there with marketing and business development support. Our new benefits in the program allow them to work with us closer to build their business." said Ms Homewood.

"Increasingly, the market is demanding infrastructure needed to deliver private network solutions and all the associated applications businesses want to run: VoIP, finance functionality and sales and marketing modules. Our business-grade network and new support structure backed by accreditation and business planning means we have a greater value proposition for partners to enable them to excel in this space," she added.

To lead the new initiatives, Pacnet has appointed Jason Staples as Partner Program Manager, who has over 10 years experience in telecommunications, managing customer service, sales and channels.

Pacnet has presented the new partner program through briefings sessions held in Melbourne, Sydney, Newcastle and Brisbane. The program is designed for system integrators with five to 30 staff who maintain direct relationships with SMBs, and has three tiers – Dragon, Tiger and Phoenix, reflecting the company's Asia Pacific reach.
