After years of providing the Reggae & Soca experience online, FiWEH.com has taken its technology to mobile phones. The online music service will be providing members access to their accounts on the mobile version of its site. Members will be able to stream new music, search for music and post comments about each song. Musicians that use the online service for promotion will benefit from the move. Their music will not only be featured on the original site, but also on the mobile phone. This will open up an entirely new avenue for advertising. According to a FiWEH.com Rep, the mobile service will be available on the launch of the FiWEH.com Redesigned site in June 2009.
The online music service will be taking music by it’s members and broadcast them Live using Shoutcast Technology. It will be called “FiWEH.com Live Radio”. According to the music service “A live radio station can improve the marketing and promotional potential of the Artists we represent on our site. Their music will no longer just be available through the On Demand service, it will be on our Live Radio Broadcast on our website and mobile phones worldwide.” In order to provide quality programming the music service is searching for radio personalities that are familiar with Reggae & Soca Music. They would like to develop radio shows that focus on entertainment & social issues that will appeal to the West Indian Community online. The radio station is currently broadcasting scheduled music playlist and replay of it’s pre-recorded show “The Brukfoot Show”.
