74% Increase in Number of People Working From Home
Whitney - TX - 17.2 million Americans worked from home at least one day a month in 2008, according to a recent survey by WorldatWork. That's an increase of 39% over 2006 and 74% over 2005.
Stephen Pierce, CEO of Impulsive Profits, which provides training materials and coaching to online entrepreneurs, thinks this trend isn't just the result of telecommuting. "Many people are finally realizing the tremendous power the internet has to give them more income and freedom and are now running their own online businesses from home," says Pierce.
