PRLog (Press Release) - Apr 24, 2009 -
The Board of Certification for Professional Organizers (BCPO®) now offers a free web-based seminar to explain the ins and outs of becoming a Certified Professional Organizer®. Certification for Professional Organizers is now a sought after designation and you’ll want to be aware of what it takes to achieve and maintain it.

“Here at the BCPO®, we receive lots of questions surrounding certification status and how to achieve it. We thought the best way to answer those questions, in addition to our online FAQ’s, would be in an audio format that explains and answers some of those mysteries,” says Audrey Lavine, CPO® and President of the BCPO®, the self-governing, independent certifying body formed to recognize and raise industry standards, practices and ethics through independent certification.

Everything You Want to Know About Certification...But Were Afraid to Ask! is available free from the BCPO®’s website, www.certifiedprofessionalorganizers.org. Topics covered include:
·   Eligibility requirements
·   The recommended resources list
·   What qualifies as a qualifying CEU
·   Pointers on general exam prep
·   Q&A

Anyone who meets the specific minimum criteria, and proves through examination and client interaction that they possess the body of knowledge and experience required for certification, can earn the CPO® designation. For example, management and life coaches, those who work with individuals with ADD/ADHD, senior move managers, records managers and other related specialists may qualify.

For more information on the BCPO®, the CPO® designation, including requirements to sit for the examination and to find a CPO® in your area, contact 1-800-556-0484 or visit www.certifiedprofessionalorganizers.org.
