Introducing The Belmont® Hyperthermia Pump; a highly efficient, compact and easy-to-use system for rapid circulation of warmed fluid used for hyperthermic lavage. The pump combines advanced microprocessor technology with an efficient mechanical system to provide a high speed, simple and safe system for delivery of hyperthermic therapy.
It is used in therapeutic procedures to raise the temperature of the thoracic or peritoneal cavity to a temperature to as high as 7oC above body temperature, as specified by a physician. Warmed sterile solution is pumped into a body cavity, withdrawn, reheated and recirculated back to the cavity according to a therapeutic protocol set by the physician. Temperature probes, located within the sterile field by the physician, monitor patient cavity temperature.
The Hyperthermia Pump automatically and continuously monitors both the infusion process and the device operation. If an unsafe condition occurs, such as high line pressure, or excessive air in the line, the system will alarm to alert the operator to the problem and a touch screen display shows how to quickly solve it.
At less than 29 lbs (13.25 kg) it is compact, lightweight, and portable.
