April 24, 2009 - PRLog -- Innovatrics fingerprint ANSI & ISO SDK’s, which is the world's first fingeprint SDK that  can be licensed with Royalty Free option, qualified for the SID program after meeting the ILO requirements under the SID Convention (Revised), 2003 (No. 185).
In addition to ILO SID fingerprint standard template support, Innovatrics ANSI & ISO SDK biometric fingerprint recognition software also includes integrated support of ANSI/INCITS 378 and ISO/IEC 19794-2 standard templates which are required by governments and public administrations. ANSI & ISO PC SDK extractor and matcher were certified ANSI/INCITS 378-compliant by the U.S. Government National Institute of Standards Technology (NIST) in the Minutiae Interoperability Exchange Test (MINEX)

MINEX compliance is required by government and public administration programs, such as Personal Identity Verification (PIV) or Transportation Worker Identification Card (TWIC). Typical applications include:
•Enrollment and Card issuance stations
•Identity Card verification on PC and mobile stations
•Physical Access Control terminals
•Logical Access Control / Password replacement application

About ILO
The International Labour Organization, established in 1919, is a Specialized Agency
of the United Nations (UN). It is a tripartite organization, in which representatives of
governments, employers and workers take part with equal status. In June 2003, the ILO
adopted the Seafarersí Identity Documents Convention (Revised), 2003 (No. 185). The
revision of the earlier Convention of 1958 was prompted by discussions held in the
International Maritime Organization (IMO), reviewing measures and procedures to prevent
acts of terrorism that threaten the security of passengers and crews and the safety of ships.
The new ILO Convention has now been communicated to the governments of ILO
Members for their consideration with a view to ratification. It will become binding, as an
international treaty, on all Members that ratify it.
