Charley is a tired old warrior with a one-eared cat looking for his “next step” in life when he agrees to spy on the Chairman of the Federal Reserve, Leopold Arndt. Arndt, along with a board of mysterious ultra-capitalists, are planning an overthrow of democracy in the US.
As Charley’s efforts draw him into the Afghanistan War and the treacherous mountains of Hindu Kush, he is assisted, threatened, supported and deceived by a very unusual cast of characters in an adventure with more twists than a corkscrew.
Between a ferociously oversexed senator, a pompous scion with a plan to solve global warming, a grief-stricken Afghanistan boy, a diminutive African-American judge, and two strangers from a strange land, Charley has his hands full trying to save the world from disasters on more than one front in The Wars of Charley Bones.
