The second annual Spirit of Hope Benefit to support Liberation Programs ' Women and Children’s Center of Excellence. HONORING: Former Congressman, Chris Shays and Jeanne White - Ginder KEYNOTE :Christoper Kennedy Lawford TICKET $150

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

PR Log (Press Release)Apr 23, 2009 – On Wednesday, June 3, 2009, Liberation Programs Inc. led by President and CEO, Alan J. Mathis, will hold its second annual Spirit of Hope Benefit.

Spirit of Hope's focus is on building awareness and support to enhance and expand treatment for mothers with substance use disorders who have dependent children. The Agency plans to transition its current Families in Recovery program for mothers and children to the Women and Children’s Center of Excellence.

The new Center will serve mothers with children, and feature complementary phases of care: a residential treatment and parenting program and long-term supportive housing with on-site case management services. According to CEO Alan Mathis, “The Women and Children’s Center will help mothers obtain the necessary skills to achieve sustained recovery and self-sufficiency – this can only be done when mom has a safe place to live with her children.”

The benefit will be held from 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM  in the Garden Pavilion at the Hilton Stamford Hotel in Stamford, CT. Proceeds from the event are directed toward the capital financing of the Center.

The 2009 Spirit of Hope honorees are former Congressman Christopher
Shays and Jeanne White-Ginder, Founder and President of the Ryan White Foundation. Both Shays and White-Ginder have been strong leaders helping under-served people secure healthcare and other vital services. The Keynote Speaker is Christopher Kennedy Lawford, the son of Patricia Kennedy and Peter Lawford.  Mr. Kennedy Lawford is an author and well respected national advocate for the recovery movement.

The Co-Chairs of the event are Debra Hertz of Darien and Mort Lowenthal of Stamford. Honorary Chairs are Lieutenant Governor Michael Fedele and Carol Fedele, while Robert and Lori Bantle join Scott and Allison Frantz heading up the Spirit of Hope Advisory Committee.

Current sponsors for Spirit of Hope include William H. Pitt Foundation, Alice P. Melly,
Vicki and David Craver, Lucy and Scott Hazard, Maureen M. Hughes, RBS Sempra Commodities, and Michael and Brook Urban.

Liberation Programs hopes that many more Fairfield County businesses and
residents will support this very important initiative. Additional sponsors are welcome and needed to support the success of the event and mission. Sponsorship levels, Platinum to Silver (from $10,000 to $2,500), include tables for ten (10) guests, advertising, and recognition in the Spirit of Hope Program, and printed materials.

Further Spirit of Hope sponsorship details are available and tickets for the benefit are $150 per person. To RSVP and to purchase tickets call 203-604-1145 or send an email to info@liberationprograms.org and reference code "SOH."
