In May 2009, Briarcliffe College will launch new specializations in the Bachelor Degree programs. The concentrations in Animation, Digital Photography, Multimedia, Web Design, Healthcare Management and International Business will be introduced at the College’s Bethpage and Patchogue campus locations.

Earning credits toward a Bachelor of Fine Arts (B.F.A.) in Graphic Design, new concentrations in animation, digital photography, multimedia and web design include courses in Animation I, Advanced Animation I and II, An Introduction to MAYA, Motion Capture, Digital Storyboarding, Sculpture for Animators, Imaging and Studio practices, Web Page Programming I and II, Interactive Web Design, and more.
The specialization in Health Care management toward a Bachelor of Business Administration (B.B.A.) is highly valuable in today’s medical field where there is increasing need to manage the volume and breadth of patient care records, medical histories and tracking information. Courses include: Health Care Management, Health Care Marketing, Health Care Law, Medical Terminology, and Contemporary Issues in Health Care, covering topics from medical records management and insurance procedures to medical coding and information systems. Students will gain practical experience in insurance processing, procedural and diagnostic coding, claims procedures, quality management, and more.
In a global economy multinational companies need to consider a range of matters, from cultural diversity to the application of technological advances, in order to keep businesses thriving. The new International Business program at Briarcliffe College offers the following courses: International Marketing, Cultural Diversity in International Business, Global Business Environment, International Trade and Transactions, and International Management. Students will focus on organizational performance, productivity enhancements, and cross-cultural perspectives in reaching today’s global customer base.
Founded in 1966, Briarcliffe College is a proprietary institution with campuses in Bethpage, Patchogue and Queens, courses in a variety of subjects from Accounting to Entrepreneurship, and four-year degree programs in Criminal Justice, Graphic Design, Business Administration, and Information Technology.
