Appropriate use of antimicrobials can reduce indoor microbial growth says Singapore IAQ expert

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

PRLog (Press Release) - Apr 23, 2009 -
A large variety of biological material is present in the indoor environment. Many different organisms are known to cause infection and many more can produce allergic responses in man. The inhalation of biological aerosols from people and animals is the primary means of contracting respiratory infections, although air-cooling equipment, humidifiers, cool-mist vaporizers, and nebulizers can also incubate and distribute bacterial aerosols indoors and could be a source of infection.

Many illnesses, including respiratory illnesses, appear to be transmitted primarily from person-to-person. Overcrowding, reduced ventilation, and increased use of untreated recirculated air have a potential to increase concentrations of microorganisms and allergens. There is limited data establishing a correlation between acute respiratory disease and ventilation rates. More common control methods for preventing transmission of illnesses include less crowded living conditions, isolation of infected individuals, and vaccination. Every indoor environmental professional (IEP) now realizes the importance of appropriate use of Antimicrobials.

IAQ Singapore provides vapour decontamination system. This system helps to kill microbial contaminants at all nicks and corners (that are not humanly possible to reach) of the building. After which all indoor surfaces will be treated with a non-leaching antimicrobial agent to inhibit the growth and reduce the microbial colonization on treated surfaces. Our antimicrobial service offers long lasting protection from microorganisms. It takes control of the site bio-sphere and re-establishes a controlled environment, safe for human occupation and reduces potential cross contamination.
