April 22, 2009 - PRLog -- Charleston florist Tiger Lily has been the talk of the national bridal scene this month with an award from The Knot Best of Weddings 2009 and a feature in Brides magazines.

Local brides voted Tiger Lily as The Knot Best of Weddings 2008/2009 Pick. As part of its recognition, Tiger Lily is featured in The Knot Best of Weddings 2009 magazine. According to The Knot, “What sets this award apart from others is that it is not your colleagues (or even The Knot!) bestowing this award on your business. The recognition comes from real brides who were thrilled with the level of service brought to their wedding day.”

Tiger Lily also was named a pick in The Knot Best of Weddings 2007 magazine.

The May/June 2009 issue of Brides magazine also featured a bridal bouquet created by Tiger Lily that was made entirely of shells. The company’s designers created this bouquet upon the unusual request of a bride who had a beach wedding last year and who wanted something out of the ordinary. The bouquet, which weighed several pounds, was made from scallop, knobbed whelk, nautilus and mollusk shells accented with sea grass. The photo of the bouquet is part of a larger feature on how to use seashells instead of flowers for a beach wedding.

Owned by Manny and Clara Gonzales, Tiger Lily is an upscale flower shop creating arrangements for Charleston area weddings, including many at the AAA Five Diamond Sanctuary at Kiawah Island, where the company has a dedicated office. The florist shop is often ranked one of the best florists in Charleston, as well as recognized around the country for its impactful, long-lasting floral designs.

“At Tiger Lily, we strive to create the vision our brides have for their special day and sometimes that means creating a five-pound, all-shell bouquet!” says Manny Gonzales. “We’re proud that our designs are nationally recognized and that our attention to service and detail has again put us on the national bridal scene.”
