Online Plus Size Clothing Store
Long Beach, CA - The Greater LA Woman, a specialty boutique providing larger sized women’s clothing in sizes 12-24 has launched their online store at www.thegreaterlawoman.com. “I have so many tourists that have asked me if they could find me online, that I decided it was time to invest in some Internet real estate,” explains Rachel Perlmutter, owner of The Greater LA Woman.
Specialty Store Designers
Most of the designers are “specialty store only,” meaning the designers on the website are not selling in major department stores, only boutiques. This means that website visitors should see products that they will not find at the local mall, and in many cases, at other local plus size specialty boutiques. “I ask who else is buying what I am interested in and try to make sure that the overlap of product availability is limited so when customers shop at my local store, or online, they are seeing items for the first time.”
New Items Added Daily
The website carries only a fraction of the products available in the boutique at the moment, but new items are added daily. “The store has a broad array of sportswear, casual dressing, artsy clothing and special occasion wear. Many of these items sell very quickly and cannot be reordered, so by the time we do a photo shoot and write copy, the inventory can be gone. However, I make sure to try to add new products every day to give my customers as big a selection as possible.”
E-Mailable Client Wish list
The website also has a “Wish List” that can be e-mailed to designated friends and family. This way, if a birthday or anniversary is coming up, website users/customers can send a hint to those they think would appreciate it of the exact item that they want.
