NKF116 MB Quart Nautic 6.5" Speaker
Maxxsonics USA Inc., parent company of MB Quart, announces two new Nautic Series marine-grade loudspeakers and a subwoofer. All are designed to meet the rigors of marine environments while producing the highest levels of audio performance possible.
Built for extreme conditions, the speakers have insert injection-molded magnet systems that provide optimized protection against humidity and mechanical influences. Corrosion-resistant connectors, stainless steel mounting hardware and sealed solder joints protect against damaging moisture and salt. Speaker baskets and grilles are made of a UV-resistant fiber-reinforced ABS composite for low resonance.
MB Quart Nautic NKF116 are mid-range 2-way coaxial speakers with a ¾” titanium tweeter, 65 to 25,000 Hz frequency response, 4-Ohm and 50 watt RMS. The NKF692 are 2-way 6” x 9” speakers with a 1” titanium tweeter, 50 to 25,000 Hz frequency response, 4-Ohm and 60 watt RMS.
The marine-grade NWF254, a water-pounding 10” subwoofer is designed for free-air applications but will also match performance in the recommended enclosure provided in the detailed manual. This durable sub features special protective sealing lacquer and gold plated terminals to resist corrosion. Voice coils are protected from direct water spray, sealed solder joints protect against moisture and stainless steel V4A mounting screws are included. Specs include 30 to 300 Hz frequency response, 4-Ohm and 200 watts of pure power.
The entire Nautic series of marine audio equipment from MB Quart satisfies the requirements of the most critical ear and boating enthusiasts alike. MB Quart’s compliance to the American Society for Testing of Materials ASTM D4329-05 ensures the polymer speaker assembly is resistant to deterioration, physically, electrically and mechanically when exposed to all combinations of ultra-violet, natural sunlight, extreme heat, extreme cold and saltwater in marine applications.
