FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

PRLog (Press Release) - Apr 21, 2009 -
Workplace Violence is a real possibility; would your company be prepared to handle an unexpected incident of violence?  Simple measures can be taken to greatly reduce the chances an incident.  It will take a coordinated effort of employers, employees, businesses, and the community to make a difference.

Corporate Security Services, Inc is hosting a number of industry professionals including forensic psychologists, legal experts, law enforcement officials, and specialists in corporate security, risk management, and employment relations to present an exciting forum about workplace violence and what you need to know in order to protect yourself, your family, customers, and/or co-workers.

Conference topics to include:
•   Understanding Workplace Violence
•   Causes of Workplace Violence
•   Employers Legal Responsibilities
•   Effective Employee Relations
•   Mitigation Risks
•   Forensic Assessments “Predicting Violence”

There are several types of Workplace Violence incidents such as random attacks, criminal motives, domestic violence, sexual motives, business disputes, or employment issues.  The attacker could be external, such as a criminal intruder, stranger, customer, spouse, patient, or student.  On the other hand, the attacker could just as easily be internal, such as an employee or contractor.   “When the only measure in place is a zero tolerance policy and there is no training, no employee assistance program, no dispute resolution, etc, then there is no Workplace Violence Program in place and your organization is vulnerable,” according to John Posey, Corporate Security Services, Inc.  The purpose of the Northwest Workplace Violence Conference is not to create fear, anxiety or paranoia, but rather it is to level the playing field and provide the tools necessary to deal with the possibility of an unexpected threat of violence against employees.

Corporate Security Services, Inc. is offering the two day conference for a reduced fee of $198.00 to guests who pre-register prior to June 10, 2009.

Pre-registration can be done online at www.corpsecure.com/events.php3.  After June 10, 2009, the 2 day registration fee is $270.00 available online or at the door. Register now!
