Apriva, the leading wireless solutions provider, and Psion Teklogix, Inc., a global provider of wireless computing solutions, today announced the successful certification and integration of the Apriva Secure Point of Sale (POS) for Windows Mobile® and Apriva Payment Engine with the Ikôn rugged PDA. The Psion Teklogix Ikôn is the first device certified by Apriva using Apriva Secure POS v3.0 and Apriva Payment Engine v1.5.
Ikôn is a sophisticated mobile workforce automation device that integrates data capture, voice and data communications into one compact rugged PDA. Apriva Secure POS and Apriva Payment Engine combined with the Ikôn enable secure wireless payments in virtually any location offering unmatched efficiency and convenience.
Apriva completed Class A certification of the Ikôn rugged PDA using the Apriva Secure POS Suite running on the device. Apriva will provide a choice of Level 1, direct merchant support, or Level 2, acquirer support, for the product. The Class A certification verifies that Apriva has fully reviewed and tested the solution and its usability on multiple processing partner platforms.
